Wow! What a wonderful weekend! It was definitely an experience and a memorable one at that! We all had the best time the entire weekend. Friday was my Mom's birthday so we all went out to dinner at P.F. Changs. We spent over 3 hours at dinner and talking outside afterwards and the kids did so great. Happy Birthday, Mama! We love you and we're so glad we were able to celebrate with you. Saturday was competition day for Kenz. We woke up, ate breakfast and then started getting ready. It took me an hour and a half to get her ready thanks to my lack of makeup knowledge and application. It was my first time ever holding fake eyelashes, let alone applying them! We somehow managed and she looked beautiful. Her Petite team performed two different dances (one jazz, one tap), and they did amazing! Once they got their first dance jitters out, they owned it! They took home a Platinum and a Gold trophy, and medals. Kenz was in her element on stage and didn't seem bothered one bit by the lights, cameras, or 500+ people watching! We are SO proud of her for what she has accomplished at such a young age. Her maturity shines even more at events such as this one. Thank you to everyone who came out to support her. She was delighted to have all of you there, especially when she was praised by everyone after. We spent the rest of Saturday hanging out in our hotel room, eating dinner, watching World of Color and Fireworks with The Pagano's. It was one of the most fulfilling days I've ever had. Kenz, you never fail to impress me with your beauty, talent, and passion for life. We couldn't be more proud of you, or more blessed to be your parents. On Sunday we had brunch with our team at Goofy's Kitchen. It was so fun to see all of the characters and take pictures with them. After brunch we went to the pool with a bunch of the girls from both teams. Disneyland Hotel just recently redid their pools and added waterslides! The kids had the best time and didn't want to leave. After swimming, we went to Goga and Papa's house for more swimming and to have a BBQ. The kids had fun swimming with their cousins and always enjoy spending time with family. On Monday we went back to Disneyland Hotel to support our "big girl" dance team as Kenz likes to refer to them as. We always enjoy watching them and were happy to be able to support them. I decided last minute that it might be fun to go to Disneyland for a few hours in the afternoon since I figured traffic would be horrendous anyway. We stayed at Disneyland, ate dinner and went on a few rides. Grandma Cindy joined us since she has a pass now and the four of us had a really nice time. That night we headed home and slept hard! It was a long weekend, but without a doubt, one to remember. Full of fun, laughter, and memories that will be cherished forever. Congrats on doing so well at your VERY first dance competition, Kenz! And thank you Lukey for being such a good boy, always so supportive of your big sister.

good job Kenz! yay!!
