friends and sunshine and deliciousness!

Yesterday we met some friends at The Americana. It was only my second trip there, but after going yesterday I'm certain it will become place we'll frequent. It was a gorgeous day out. The kids all had a great time running around, splashing around in the fountain and playing on the playground. We ate lunch at Frida, a mexican place on Brand. One word: DELICIOUS. I had a vegetarian burrito. Not the kind with bell peppers and onions, but an actual veggie burrito with sauteed asparagus and zucchini in it. It was heavenly. Even more heavenly was the Crumbs cupcake the kids and I shared afterwards. It was so nice to spend the day with such lovely friends we're still getting to know. Conversation was easy and enjoyable, laughter was abundant, and kids were happy. I'd say that's a pretty great day. :)
